James Dobson: Biden has nation ‘teetering on the edge’

Only weeks ago, James Dobson, who has advised five presidents on family and faith issues, warned that the agenda pursued by President Biden and his Democratic Party could finish off America.

Now, following Biden’s first solo news conference as president, Dobson says the nation is “teetering on the edge,” and soon it could be “forever too late.”

“Throughout the press conference, and so far in his tenure as president, Joe Biden has acted as a divider, rather than fulfill his promise to unite the country, said Dobson, the founder of the James Dobson Family Institute, and the host of the “Family Talk” radio program.

“He has advanced far-left policies – most often by executive order – and continues to blame President Trump for problems that he is creating, even as he takes credit for successes he inherited,” Dobson said. “Through it all President Biden nevertheless accuses Republicans of ‘continu[ing] the politics of division.’ (He even questioned whether the Republican party would still be here in 2024?!) How this man could say such things with a straight face is beyond me. Yet, it seems that he is willing to say anything to cram his radically left agenda down the throats of all Americans.”

Dobson said it’s “more clear than ever that our nation is teetering on the edge. Are Christians, at long last, aware of this horrible reality?”

“And are we finally ready to stand up and let our voices be heard, before it is forever too late?”

He said the media may have been satisfied with Biden’s news conference, “but freedom-loving Americans and people who hold true to our Judeo-Christian values should rightfully be outraged.”

“‘Press conference’ is an inadequate description of what took place, which was nearly an hour of misrepresentations and outright lies, as he claimed responsibility for the continued success of President Trump’s ‘Operation Warp Speed,’ blamed the Trump administration for problems that he, himself, created at the border, and totally distorted the truth about legislation the Democrat party is seeking to ram through Congress. All of this was communicated under the guise of uniting the people of our country,” Dobson said.

First, Biden claimed credit for administering 100 million COVID-19 vaccine doses in the first 100 days of his administration.

“Astute observers noted that the only way President Biden could have failed to deliver was if he completely bungled the process begun by the Trump administration; to be specific, on the day Joe Biden was inaugurated, the U.S. administered almost 1.5 million vaccine shots!”

Then Biden predicted economic growth of 6% for the nation.

“Given the roaring economy President Trump created – which only a worldwide pandemic could decrease – it’s not surprising we will see a spike in growth as the virus begins to recede,” Dobson said.

Where Biden does deserve “credit” is for the crisis at the southern border, he said.

“By removing the previous administration’s immigration policies, President Biden has literally created a humanitarian and a national security crisis all within his first two months in office. … Biden incredibly claimed the problems at the border were created by the Trump administration. Make no mistake, the thousands of migrants seeking to enter this country – while wearing Biden T-shirts – think Joe is a nice guy. But this ‘nice guy’ so happens to be our president who is charged to uphold the sovereignty and security of our nation.”

But worst of all was Biden’s claim to be working on “voting rights.”

“As I wrote recently, HR1 (and its companion bill in the Senate, S1) is an ‘outrageous bill [that] seeks to dismantle our constitutional republic… by changing election laws to tilt the balance of power irrevocably to the far Left.’ Among other things, HR1 would ban commonsense measures like voter ID laws, mandate procedures that cause illegal aliens to be registered to vote, and force taxpayers like you and me to fund the political campaigns of candidates we do not support,” Dobson said.

“Of course, the last impediment to the full implementation of the Democrat’s agenda is the filibuster. Accordingly, it should come as no surprise that President Biden has now signaled his support for getting rid of the filibuster. I can only pray that Democrat Senators Joe Machin and Krysten Sinema stand firm in their opposition to ending this vital parliamentary procedure, which is the only thing standing between Joe Biden and the full adoption of his radical re-making of America,” he said.

Dobson wrote to his constituents in a recent newsletter, “Not since the Civil War has there been such consternation about who we are as a people and where the culture appears to be headed.”

At that time, he noted the Democrats’ so-called Equality Act, which he said could bethe “coup de grace” for America.
