Scott was interviewed on several shows on Fox News Channel yesterday. Each interview was a chance to rebut Biden’s speech and he took advantage of that. Today it is reported that the senator cut a political ad on his “Restore America” plan that Biden railed against. Scott asks, “How do you destroy America’s economy? Look around.” He goes on to slam Biden, Harris and woke Democrats. Scott says Washington, D.C. hates his plan and “that is how you know it’s good.” Then he puts the website on the screen. The ad is paid for by Rick Scott for Florida.
Biden was handed an economy that was well on the way to a strong recovery from the financial destruction of the pandemic. From his first day in office, he and his administration have been hellbent to destroy it. There is no other explanation for their policy decisions and a president who refuses to acknowledge that his insistence of trillions of dollars flying out the door as the solution to all of the nation’s woes has lit a match to the inflation dumpster fire. All Biden offered was a promise to pursue tax increases on private industry and claiming he wanted to put more money in the pockets of regular Americans. He spoke of a Biden-Harris plan on inflation yet didn’t offer any explanation of it during his speech. That is typical of Biden. He announces sweeping programs and plans and doesn’t bother to speak about specifics.
Let’s face it. Joe Biden has no plan on anything. His moves are defensive ones, not the moves of a leader on the offense on any issue. He waits until a crisis festers up and then he waits a little longer before he reacts. Biden actually said, “I think our policies help, not hurt.”

And there was this gem from his speech on inflation.

Half of Biden’s speech was used to blame Republicans and Republican voters. He is quite proud of his new label, Ultra MAGA Republicans, and uses it to generalize that all Republican voters are far right-wing nuts. It is impossible not to notice that Biden’s tone has changed over the last two weeks. Clearly he is distressed about his low polling numbers and the real likelihood that there will be a very strong red wave election in November. All he has been able to successfully pass in the legitimate legislative process is his barely bipartisan infrastructure bill. He is still trying to convince Americans around the country – mostly swing states- about the importance of that legislative victory. He is a president who governs by executive order because he can’t get his legislative pet projects passed though Democrats are in charge of the House and the Senate. His own party fights him.
Desperate Joe took off after Rick Scott and his Rescue America plan. Biden lumped Republicans in with Scott’s eleven point plan. The problem with that is no Republican in the Senate has signed on to his plan. Mitch McConnell made a point of disavowing the plan on the Senate floor when it came out. The plan has some ideas in it that don’t sit well with Americans, including Republicans, and he’s on his own with it. Scott is currently the head of the National Republican Senatorial Committee. He says he is running for reelection in 2024 but many observers say his plan is a pre-cursor to testing the waters for a presidential run if Trump doesn’t run. If Ron DeSantis runs in 2024, as he should, there is no way Rick Scott gains any traction in his own alleged presidential ambitions.
Over the past two weeks, every time Biden speaks, he trashes “MAGA Republicans” and now “Ultra MAGA Republicans” while referring to them as more dangerous than any other group in his lifetime. Biden’s old so that’s a good chunk of time. Republicans who vote for the Make America Great Again agenda aren’t a group, they are millions of American voters. It’s not the KKK or other nefarious groups (formed by Democrats) that organized but voters who were supportive of Trump’s America First message. Biden can’t let go of this Trump derangement, though, and is unable to make remarks without referencing the previous administration or Trump. He has nothing to boast about, if he runs in 2024, so he continues to try to keep Trump’s name out there to rev up his base.
Esquire has a snarky piece against Scott (progressive rags gotta do their thing) and shows a quote from Scott where he calls for Biden’s resignation as a way to solve inflation. He says what many of us have written since Biden took office, including me. Biden is confused and on a mental decline. He is not up for the job.
It’s simple. The most effective thing Joe Biden can do to solve the inflation crisis he created is resign. He’s the problem. Getting him out of office is a quick and easy solution. Let’s be honest here. Joe Biden is unwell. He’s unfit for office. He’s incoherent, incapacitated and confused. He doesn’t know where he is half the time. He’s incapable of leading and he’s incapable of carrying out his duties. Period. Everyone knows it. No one is willing to say it. But we have to, for the sake of the country. Joe Biden can’t do the job.
A reporter asked Joe about those remarks and Biden said, “I think the man has a problem.” Old Joe isn’t exactly quick on his feet when answering questions from the press, which is rare. You’d think a man who has been in politics for almost 50 years would be better at it.
